Stevens Lab Opened March 2025: We are excited to announce that the Stevens Lab opened its doors in the Department of Cancer Biology at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine!
Understanding principles of cellular interaction:
How cells adhere and organize within complex tissues is the fundamental question that we will investigate within the lab. We are especially interested in investigating how cell adhesion is dysregulated during tumor formation and metastasis.
We employ approaches from protein engineering, synthetic biology, and mechanobiology to gain a molecular understanding of cellular interactions.
Through designing tools to program adhesion, we will develop novel cell therapies to treat cancer.
